OOLONG TEA
Ingredients: Camellia Sinensis var. Huang Jin Gui
Harvest: Spring 2017
Origin: Gan De Village, Anxi, Fujian, China
Tasting notes: sweet asparagus pulled in hazelnut butter
"Huang Jin Gui" (translated as golden osmanthus), is so named because of the golden color of the leaves and the aroma of osmanthus (a very fragrant flower endemic to China). This is a type of oolong specific to the Anxi region of Fujian and one of the most famous in China. It is a sweet tea with a hazelnut aftertaste, without traces of the sour-bitter flavors typical of Tieguanyin.
