The purple color of the buds and leaves is due to anthocyanin, a substance secreted by the plant to protect itself from UV rays. Learn more about purple tea here .
The 'Zi Hong Pao' variety is a natural genetic mutation of the 'Da Hong Pao (Qi Dan)' variety. It is a very rare tea. The total area covered by trees of this variety does not exceed 1 hectare.
We recommend tasting it compared to the classic and the wild.
